when you crush the road like the road you are suggesting you can loose load capacity off the road as you are taking the Formation and turning it in to the pavment
water management is also key to the life off the road as it cost the avarage of £70/m for a new forest road

ps can you not recover the stone from the damage /washouts etc as that is were the cost are

There is a Great company in the North East called RTW Road Restoration great company to deal with and very reasonable priced for the work they do. They have done some access tracks to local reservoirs in our area as well as farm tracks which get a lot of use from heavy equipment. Please see link to there website.

It’s road planing repairs over the last few years that have apparently caused the problem just washing our when it rained hard

Planings are not as good as they used to be.If we had some stored for more than 12 months we often needed a big excavator to break them up, now they are little better than gravel although you will get the odd load that will stick back together.
