I feel for those folk who have new(ish) machinery and that includes tractors.
I bought my daughter a 2019 plate Peugeot Partner van on Friday. It is a very nice little vehicle. She can work at the many festivals she attends without the worries of wet tents and all that. And ‘stealth camp’ if required (sorry to all the haters)😁
One and only let down is the windscreen wipers. They do not work on anything except fast and if turned off don’t park themselves where they should.

There’s not much around on t’internet about this being a common problem yet as this is still quite a new model, but I have been told the wiper system is fly-by-wire. In theory this is a brilliant idea although this is where the problem starts.

There is a BIG car dealer in Ipswich John Grose, who has the Ford, Citroen & Peugeot agency and as I was in Ipswich I called this morning to ask and was told that they would call me back.
Well that never happened!😢

As I was nearby I popped in to ask if this vehicle had the fly-by-wire and nobody knew or could offer any kind of sensible answer to my supposed simple Q🤪
They would, however take close to £95 off me to plug it in to their diagnostic equipment.
Needless to say I declined this offer as I felt that I needed more information before committing.
I did say that I was surprised that on visiting a supposed Peugeot expert there was nobody to talk to about the how and why of the problem😢 or if it was fly-by-wire. 😡

Are folk who drop in to ask a simple question always treated this way I wonder?

Fair enough and I don’t begrudge this at all.
What niggled was the lack of any knowledge. If I worked for a major vehicle manufacturer I’d at the very least immerse myself in how they are made and be up to date with the tech coming through but perhaps I am too optimistic and it is ‘just-a-job’ and the computer says no😢

Welcome to modern society.. The days of time served “mechanics” are long gone. Today we have “fitters” of varying abilities I’ve found.

I was just stunned at the lack of spark/interest/drive/interest/interest.
WTF!
Like everything today it seems to be run by overweight, ill informed computer operators who just rock up to work, take the pay and then go home to sit in front of the TV/video game😭
Food, ah. That comes from a supermarket and milk grows on trees.
Eggs come in a pack of six wrapped in cardboard. What is a chicken?
Oooops
Rant!🤪

just been to the gym (first time in 40 years!), anyway, Doris remarked, how can the young people on reception be so gormless. Does membership include the classes? No idea! So not just garages, leisure centres too.

Try an auto electrics specialist, main car dealers mainly employ idiots who hate their job, there are good specialists about who can use a code scanner and more important understand what they see. Ask around locally to find out who the good one are.

First off you say its not parking, the motor needs a continuous live to it to park, check the plug on the motor to see if a continuous live it there when the ignition is on but wipers are in off position, if no live then it can throw up faults in intermittent wipe.
If live is there continuous with the ignition on, then its most probably the the wiper stalk unit not sending the right communication to wipers,
If getting a new stalk unit, get the right one as there could be different variants depending on spec of vehicle,

They are a marvellous cracking van, I have one , but I went for the Tepee version not the commercial, as there better finished off inside, rear seats just clip out in seconds,
Less than half the Road tax of a commercial and continuously does over 50 mpg, and the traction control means its in and out of fields with ease or not got stuck yet anyway, and can drop seats back in in seconds if needed
