I think you will find the Daily Mail is anti everyone. You have to take it light heartedly.

Just depends what day of the week it is. Monday must be Farmer bashing day, tomorrow will be plumber bashing etc etc

Yeah, that stuff does not burn at all. God knows what it's made of. Bailer cord and corn flakes packets are best. Ir if you have an Amazon Prime junkie in the house, they provide good lighting stuff.

So who"s going to put the farmers point of view across,we have a massive industry but no fecker to put the truth across:rolleyes:

I wrote a reply from my office today. We had to say they had got their facts wrong so I doubt they will print it.
The journalist had rung our comms dept last week wanting to know how many sprays crops of wheat etc were given. Our comms explained it was impossible to generalise and we didn't see our members spray records - nb how our 'journalist' at the Mail had regurgitated this as we refused to supply the information.
It's also worth noting the typical farm wheat crop described received four slug pellets applications - I reckon that's illegal.

Records were years out of date. Referred back to 2013

The chemical records they printed were supposedly given by a farmer, who wanted to remain unnamed. But he wasn't an "intensive" arable farmer. He certainly grew a costly crop!!

Good and bad everywhere but just upsetting if All one sided .
I know "free speech" etc., But with huge cost of chemicals who would or does "splash" it around willy nilly ????
Anyone who ever grew anything knows, if its out there be it soil ,root leaf, head or ear or fruit it will attack ,eat or infest to reduce or wipe out your hard work crop without correct approved and timely pesticide use if needed .
I would imagine there are stats.out there on this and guess a huge % of farmer's with different enterprises never use anything at all anyhow !
