The more concerted the efforts to discredit the Prime Minister, the more sympathy and support he will get from fair-minded people in the UK, if not in the wider world.

And can anyone point to where the Law on Prorogation of Parliament is written? Don't forget that even the highest Judge does not write the Law.

I personally feel that it was the PM's duty to stop the fanatical Remainers, including the 21 or more Tory or ex-Tory MPs, from doing any further damage in their appalling quest to overturn the Referendum result. I am now at the stage where I am willing to go to any lengths to support Boris and the others who are standing up for fair play and decency (Democracy).

Oh dear. I can tell you are clutching at straws. Are you a legal expert? Boris is not being discredited by others, he is doing it to himself. Even his own brother has decided to put the interests of the UK before loyalty to the doomsday cult that is Boris Johnson.
Parliament is sovereign, and THEY have put their foot down to save the day and the UK itself. This is the Parliament that you presumably wanted to regain some imagined lack of sovereignty back from the EU, which was and is more lies you swallowed hook line and sinker and is coming back to bite you on the bum. Because they never lost it and they are using it and when they use it you don't like it anyway.

Not long ago I bet anything that you would have said that you would have done anything to regain the UK Parliament's sovereignty. Now that Parliament is fully exercising that sovereignty, you are "now at the stage where I am willing to go to any lengths to support Boris" against the sovereignty of Parliament.

Its impossible to make such absurdity up. If I were to write your stance up as a screenplay, every director on earth would throw it out as being too balmy to be credible.

It doesn't look good for Boris, what with his proroguing of Parliament being ruled illegal and for nefarious reasons today, which effectively brands him as being a liar officially. Most sensible people knew that from way before the referendum anyhow but its nice to see it being made official.

You seem to think that bj is brexit, he isnt, my experience of leavers is that they were tired of being governed by lots of people in Europe they dont know . johnson-farage-buses etc. certainly didnt figure in my decision to tick the box.. all politicians lie. leave Europe then fight to re-join if you want. I will be very happy support the will of the people, which is more than most of our politicians and you it seems

I think you've just proved my point.

Have a look on FB at the Irish farming page, they are sick to the back teeth with the EU and most of the Irish farmers want out of the EU as well!

EU is doing massive damage to Ireland!

Disgusting the way UK remainers are making up laws as they go along to try and stop/ destroy democracy in the UK.

What remainers are now doing is just like what Hitler did in Germany in the early 1930's to gain power! and we all know how that ended up!

Our Parliament is sovereign. Now that you must realise that this is so, something that you have absolutely denied up until lately and used as a reason to exit the EU ['regain Parliament's sovereignty' and all that dross], you really don't like it demonstrated for some reason.
Parliament has an absolute duty to steer the best course that is least damaging and most beneficial for the UK. This is what they are, at last, doing. At least the vast majority of them can agree that a no-deal brexit would be a total disaster for the UK in so many ways.
We all know that Parliament is sovereign - and we also know that it is time we got another one

@Chae1 Sorry but I am going to add the fray here, I really enjoyed your posts, and thank you for making them.

History repeating itself?
Remember a country called Yugoslavia, a fairly horrid unimportant country ruled by a foul dictator called Tito that held it together through fear and subjugation. It fell apart on his death and formed around 12 regions of "rule", fell into civil war, ethnic cleansing and ceased being fairly horrid and unimportant into being a centre of genocide, abject poverty and exploitation.

There are interesting examples of states creating themselves and self-destructing but I am very hard pushed to think of ANY where this has worked well.

So currently the N.Irish and Scots are totally pee'd off with the situation - I am struggling to find an example in history where something like this worked out well after division.

Can anyone offer an example?

I don't want independence. I don't see the relevance of your points above to the rest of the thread. I don't think its only Scots and N irish annoyed with situation. The whole country is.

What a load of cobblers.

Ordinary people will not put up with the display we've seen over the past 2 weeks.

Any political party coming in with a reform ticket will wipe the whole slate clean.

Parliament have asked for it and the general public will sort them out once and for all.

@czechmate Thank you for raising my hopes. I was there prior to the "revolution" but not back since and that is a good example, I am not optimistic that this is the outcome for UK at this moment.
@Chae1 I was only apologising for taking away from you being proud of your farm and family which is where this thread started and following the mob. I agree the whole of the country is infuriated with the system, politicians and progress. My pint half full view is that the English will mostly put up with it and other [and I am seeking for a word here] Countries, identities, ethically distinct populations might not.

Ah... Godwins Law at its finest

if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Adolf Hitler .

You must mean the same right wing nutters that were voting repeatedly against Theresa's administration, and not having the whip withdrawn from them?

I don't hear any of the right wing saying that people like the UK PM should be arrested and thrown in jail but the left wing fanatical remainers have been calling for the UK PM to be arrested and jailed this week!

And that is just what Herr Hitler did in Germany in the 1930's!
