Got a serious case of baleritis!

Damn slip clutch is playing up,rotor feed is wrapping with damp sappy grass and I’m having to manually operate the netwrap as I can’t go to pressure.:mad::mad:

Then to top it off I let one out with no net.....again.

I’m going to bumble along with it as hopefully there’s some hay ready to bale tomorrow so I’ll leave it until the end of the week when there’s rain promised to try and sort it.

Getting fed up with the dealers efforts which have not worked.
The dealer does seem to have done a poor job of it (n)
Id come and do a bit for you if you were closer. I got mine sorted on friday did 50 bales of hay with it today. Anothet 25ish acres wednesday/thursday and that will be me done for a bit till the barley/oats are ready in a month or so :)

Hopefully this counts as a random thought...

I'm completing research for my dissertation and I want to hear from farmers who have worked with an agent, housebuilder, or instructed a team themselves, in order to gain planning permission for residential development on their land.

If that’s you, or you know someone that fits this description, I would be really grateful if you'd be so kind as to fill in my survey or forward it on to the relevant person. It only takes 10 minutes and is completely anonymous. No individual can be identified through the survey.

The survey looks to explore farmers’ experiences of the planning process and also their views on their farming identity following the decision to sell land. It doesn't matter how large or small the site was or when the land got planning permission- it could have been last year, it could have been 10 years ago.

The survey doesn't ask personal questions about land transactions, the focus is more on your views of your farming identity and your connection to the local community and the landscape.

The survey is simple, just click the link below and follow the questions:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScU_iOaTk7CMknc4kyMZpuk1iOPLKC44eByCU-e2kXNa_9L1A/viewform?usp=sf_link

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Lucy.
Your survey doesn’t seem to lend itself to self developers. These may well be the majority. I would restructure it to include private/self developers.

Hi Lucy.
Your survey doesn’t seem to lend itself to self developers. These may well be the majority. I would restructure it to include private/self developers.

Thanks for your help Doc. I am reaching out to anyone that has completed the process, but yes you're probably right it is more geared towards those that have been through the process with a promotional land company. Nevertheless, if you have gained planning permission on your land for residential development, through self developing, please do help me and fill in what you can!

My main focus is-after you've sold land for development, does this change your farming identity? How do you feel about yourself, your local community and connection to your land?

Cheers for the advice.

Lucy

Baldwin St is going to breathe a huge sigh of relief, I'd say.
I think it used to be reasonably "quiet" other than visitors, in the age of video cameras in every pocket some incredibly stupid stuff happens nowadays  people going down in plastic wheelie-bins, a guy got killed by hitting a parked trailer :(

It's a sad reflection of humanity in some ways.

But congratulations, anyway :)
