Carting gravel for the walking track to the Jack's Bay Blowhole. Beats wheelbarrows, they have a ground team raking the stuff out and a heli ferrying it in - 84 ton of AP25
Caught the bend on the main rotors well in that pic Pete. It's incredible how much they flex.

I wonder what that path repair costs in total then!

I wouldn't imagine much change out of 10k for the Squirrel and ground crew.

It's got a very steep section in the middle, probably 100 or more steep steps, so that rules out the motorised barrows they normally use for track maintenance.

600kg at a time but maybe only a minute or two turnaround, and about 15 people on rakes keeping up!

Fungicide is needed this year but the fields are so wet that sprayers are struggling. So the planes are everywhere! This guy showed up bright and early at 7 yesterday morning. He circled around for a bit while he called my landlord to confirm which field and then ended up doing the one right across the road from me! So good video while we stood there and had coffee.

And then I went on a road trip and ran into that hail storm.

That highway is bad. There's billboards along it of missing people who've disappeared while travelling it.

Would make a good "Serial killer living in the back door of beyond" screenplay.
