Seem to remember @cows sh#t me to tears fancying a Merlo......but maybe not the hot variety.:ROFLMAO:
That one is preheated for Australian conditions.

Was quite a "good" burn, not too sure how it started yet, as it HAD been checked for starlings and wasn't covered in trimmings, either.

Balclutha VFB had the machine extinguished by the time our tanker arrived (we still don't know why they didn't call the Balclutha tanker, which was half the distance to the incident, but hey ho) but needed more water to put out the fire on the cutting, before it spread into last year's trash from tree removal; a wind change and it would have been major major veg fire.

It is starling season here again, an issue I have partly solved by taking the battery out of my tractor until next winter! ?

Join the club - our record highs neatly equate to your low "job is fooked" lamb prices.
As I have said before on here, we just have to look bloody close at which costs are actually sustainable and which ones aren't - namely the insurance of blanket animal health products, and trying to time the lamb sales to out-of-season where the prices are much lower.
That's one disadvantage of indoor/outdoor systems, ie you don't have the same "out of season" price rises as us? Mid season lamb was around $95/hd.
how much of kiwi lamb goes to the middle east ?,or any other country trump don't like

Money seems to be going around slowly, unlessive imagined it, its like no one wants to get caught when the music stops.

Trouble is buisness generally being affected is not going to help diversification or off farm work either.
It Will be ok for those that are well off, with a big buffer , i guess, as ever
but i think ,i my have gone to the wrong camp with my no debt idea.
i don't think those with high debt are going to be touched.
i am picking if the number of house sale stay's low trough are peak spring selling time.their is going to be some fire works go off.
house's here are selling for good money ,but there anti many of them.
but as their are more with debt ,it will be the well off ,taking a bath

Banks simply cannot afford losses - it's reasonably predictable that they will force legislation that encourages borrowing to continue - look at the OCR cuts?

The camera must add 20 pounds and 3 extra shades of green, cos they look worse in the flesh.

Few people are as far removed from evonomic reality as you with your large passive income.
Most folk on here, including roy s income is not large and certainly not passive

How does having a range of incomes remove one from economic reality?

It suggests to me that Pete is intimately aware of economic reality and has managed his finances accordingly.

Two of the most inspiring books I have ever read, should be compulsory for all involved in government, we might get some useful policy then. One chapter left of "Call of the Reed warbler", harder read but equally fascinating.

It is a harder read isn’t it, but worth it!

I’ve just started Savoury. Again, not an easy read and delves into some slightly alien territory, but interesting so far.
