Sorry I couldn’t come up with a more “entertaining”, inflammatory, exciting, abusive, condescending, insulting, reaction provoking, childish post for this increasingly dull thread but, as we were talking about Australian companies being flogged by the Yanks, thought it relevant. They were a good company and are a nice family. Hope the Damins enjoy the spoils of their hard work.

(Sorry to let the side down by saying something nice. You’re all a bunch of girls by the way!)
There’s no getting away from it.

Old boss of mine years ago said,’people are the same wherever you go’.

He‘s not wrong,there’s always a proportion of c()nts.

Beat them to it by cutting the power lines down. :)

We have trees near us that have been trimmed for lines that arrived when the tree was already there. They look stupid.
Tree was probably close to being there before the powerlines were anyway. I'm a bit fùckin pìssed off about it anyway.. They are a beautiful tree the kurrajong.

Remember my post of the flyaway trampoline? It came in useful in the end :ROFLMAO:
Quote taken from the bodge thread because I couldn't be arsed to type it all out again.
The spring that stops the 3 point linkage arm on my tractor swinging about has been broken a while. To stop it swinging into the back tyre all the time I have been tying them together with bale twine and it was getting a bit tedious. Thanks to storm Ciara I scavenged a load of springs off my sister in law's broken trampoline and found they are a perfect fit for the missing spring and plenty strong enough too. Not sure I needed a bucket full of them though :ROFLMAO:

A man after my own heart. When my daughter moved out we broke up her trampoline (It was about 10 years old by then), put the plastic in the bin and the steel on the scrap but I kept all the springs. Occasionally I find a use for one........

I had to buy a spring for the top of my cattle crush a few years ago and it was £7! One of those would fit perfectly. Hopefully I'll have enough for the rest of my lifetime now :cool:

I found another use for trampoline springs just today - tying down fences where the culverts are.
The springs will hold the wires down/taut but still allow enough "stretch" that I can let up the wires to move animals in/out of my "less favoured areas" should the need arise.

I haven't done it yet, merely figured out that that's what I'll do once I float a rope down the culvert and pull a length of wire through... etc etc :rolleyes:
