Drove from Airlie Beach to Rockhampton today in some horrendous rain. The creeks are running now alright! Even creeks looking like Niagara where there is no creek.
I don't think you can get through now.

Folk are complaining back home about storm Dennis, they've seen nothing in comparison. Not saying they aren't affected ( my own shed is now minus a lot of slates in my absence) but bloody hell it can rain when it wants and I know I have seen bigger all of what can come down.

And it is still too feckin hot :D

Dunno if you'll cop any rain out of the impending cyclone further up. I heard today they were warning people to look out for tornadoes as well....

A man after my own heart. When my daughter moved out we broke up her trampoline (It was about 10 years old by then), put the plastic in the bin and the steel on the scrap but I kept all the springs. Occasionally I find a use for one........
I bought a spare trampoline just for the cover.
The legs make for very useful levers as you can join them together for added leverage yet carry them in a vehicle easily

Perhaps that's why the ammonia industry is promoting ammonia as the new "eco-friendly" fuel for global shipping (once they sort out the capture of the huge emissions of CO2 from the energy used to manufacture it and the capture of the nitrous oxides emitted from the engines using it - no big deal apparently as "technology will fix it") :banghead::mad:
