I can honestly say, at 52 im probably fitter & physically more resilient than ive ever been.
in my 20's & 30's I had a lot of back trouble & pain. I used to frequently twist or sprain ankles. One knee was weak used to often just give way with no warning. I Often did 100 hr weeks just operating machinery. I was very unfit.

My ankles & knee are now much stronger ( although I get the occasional twinge & I am very conscious of making sure I give my ITBs a good stretch, I cant remember the last time my knee just gave way on me ). I very rarely have any serious back pain. I am much fitter. Even my tolerance to alcohol is better ( although maybe I'm just a bit smarter in my consumption now ? ). I am constantly surprised at the poor physical / health condition of people my age or younger. At this rate, I see myself getting fitter & stronger as I get older. :). Theoretically, speed is the only thing you are guaranteed to lose as you age - apparently . . .

The ONLY 2 negatives I can see to being over 50 now is I am am not as forgiving with missing sleep ( gone are the days of partying till 2.00am then starting work at 6.00am ) & my short distance eyesight is rapidly diminishing.

NO drugs / pills / medication / doctors. Havent been to a GP in years. Just a reasonable diet & balanced exercise.

Physically, I actually look forward to a challenge & pushing myself. Just wish I felt like this at 32 :)
Like you, I'm actually fitter than I've been since my early 20's. I do tend to push myself to do things I shouldn't though (manually handle round bale bedding into the straw blower every day etc) and suffer the inevitable aches as a result which take longer to go away than they did at 30. :(

I have been using glasses for reading for 5 years now but my distance vision is still 100%.

I know plenty of folk who are old at my age

I was a bad boy today. Bye bye carbon
They reckon a good burnoff releases about as much Carbon as would be released from the soil over 20-24 months normally.
Quite a lot when you see it go - so you can sort of get a feel for how much is being sequestered in a year going by that, really quite a serious amount

Pulling up some old fences
These posts have been in the ground since the late 50's - early 60's.
Even with it being so dry, there was still moist soil on the posts as I pulled them out, so you can't say it's "our dry environment" that's the reason they last so long

Steel post every 5 paces, wooden ones every 20 paces
We don't build them like that anymore, rarely use wooden posts, they too heavy & tend to pull fences over. Generally steelies every 6 m & high tensile wire
