Farmer Roy's Random Thoughts - I never said it was easy.

Scott Morrison is poised to hand billions in taxpayers' money to multinational gas companies that will wreck our water and farmland and rob us of a clean energy future. Tell your MP this gas is dangerous and a bad investment: lockthegate.org.au/call_your_mp_renew

Nuclear is the way we should be going. We have huge reserves of uranium and stable geography making it safer here than earthquake prone areas like Japan.

I don't think any Brits that haven't seen the coal trains in Aus or flown over the open cast mines or over the sea off QLD and seen all the enormous ships stacked up waiting to load have any idea of the scale of things. Just the size of the trains and how regular they are running is mind blowing.
them Ausses must be making a fortune diging up coal to pollute the world

we had two big very old trees in my childhood home. I cant remember ever making anything with the fruit, just that there used to be a huge amount of berries, an incredible amount of bees, wasps etc on the rotting fruit under the trees and a very distinctive smell to the leaves, almost nettle like. also that the fruit stained hands and clothing a deep purple.

Chopped mine down last year.
Way too big and way too close to the house, never had a useful crop and even if it did I have no use for them.
My Grandpa was keen on them which is why they are around on our places but have never known the fruit to be used for anything.
