Saturday afternoon/night i thiught id had all my punishment for the weekend and i was back in my usual role of least drunk/babysitter. It didnt last though....
The barstewards unbeknown to me had found a strip club (my least favourute places on earth despite only being in one before) and despite my protests and a almost violent struggle they got me inside. What happened next was more than a little traumatising but ill probably laugh about it one day but not anytime soon :shifty:
Taken on stage with 2 women in their underwear i was stripped to my boxers amd made to dance for them. My pants were half burnt off and i was beaten with a belt till i was black and blue :cautious: it was bloody painful and not my idea of fun at all :shifty: everyone else seemed to enjoy it though  i went home after that back in babysitter mode taking an ill friend back to his room. Future mrs hendrebc found the whole thing as funny as my friends did :meh: ill get the barstewards back one day will be the best mans turn soon enough :whistle::sneaky::sneaky:;);):D:D:censored:

I’m like you, I can’t stand all that sh!t! I told my best man that I was happy to go to a strip club but if he got me up on stage and they start stripping me, I’ll start fighting! He was sensible enough to think I was serious in the end and we just went and looked at the pretty ladies!

But I’ve been on a few where they tie the stag to the chair and strip, whip and humiliate him and it just makes me cringe. Conversely, the one time I was best man the stag actually requested that, so each to their own I guess!

I’m best man for another chap this time next year and he’ll not appreciate that sort of nonsense. We’ll just go and look at the pretty ladies again!

Like I say, each to their own, but when I remember the sh1t that happened in the Harper Bar of a Wednesday night, I figured I didn’t need to go through it all again on my stag do!

For the second leg of my stag do they dressed me in a Tinky Winky costume, complete with red hand bag! The hand bag came in particularly useful in the taxi on the way home, saved me a fine for a clean up operation!

only ever been in a strip club once
got dragged into one by a fertiliser company rep after a test rugby game in Sydney ( they paid for tickets & accommodation ). It was about the saddest place I'd been. I didn't know who was saddest, the girls or the blokes watching them . . .
got bored pretty quickly & drinks were too expensive so we managed to escape & found a pub instead :)

err, @Yale - you asked about house plans
nothing flash or pretentious, quite modest by Australian standards. Conventional modern Australian homes are all brick veneer, timber frame, built on a concrete slab. They all seem to have at least 5 bedrooms, media rooms, ensuites, double garages etc etc.
These plans are to fit into the local environment, looks a bit like an old farm building or woolshed, it is sympathetic to the existing late 1800's corrugated iron buildings near it.
It is designed to make the most of its location, with views, light, passive heating, cooling, ventilation etc. It is north facing. Protection from the west ( sun / heat ). We have very hot long summers & cold winters. During summer we want as much shade & ventilation & insulation as possible, while during winter we want to bring as much light & sunshine in as possible. Built on piers ( slightly sloping land ), single story. Timber frame, probably clad in corrugated iron & muted grey colours to blend in with existing buildings & vegetation. Big views to north. Open plan living / dining / kitchen areas & big outdoor sheltered area. 3 smallish bedrooms. An office. Store room.Laundary room. Mud room. Just one family bathroom but a separate shower / toilet for outdoors "dirty" people ( me :) ) Open carport at rear
designed very much with its location, environment & planned lifestyle in mind

Most of the followers of this thread will know what these figures are about.
Fag packet maths tell me these liveweights are about the profit we will make off them= they're off to Ranfurly-ish to graze crop before their final trip in spring.
Some won't need much more :)

Bit of a mixed emotions day here. :(
Some heavy ones in there (y)

Was there much variation when they came or are those ones just really good doers?
