Suppose you must be in mid summer now, equivalent to our mid July.

A nice drop of rain after a dry spell in mid summer is always welcome. (y)
Yep, it will keep us going for a while.
Where I have plenty of cover has never dried out, but some of the places I hit a little too hard were keen on a drink.
We've about 24mm in the guage for the last couple of weeks, just ideal at this point in time (y)

You must not live in Australia. I have it on good authority that it’s not above 40 there nearly as often as you say.

Ha - LAST summer Moree ( only 200 km north of here ) & Mungindi were vying with each other to break the record of the longest continuous run of + 40 C days in NSW. Can't find it now, but was close to a month I think . . .
Mungindi won by a day . . .

Well, if we are to believe the Flat Earthers, Australia doesn’t exist anyway and the whole country is a huge conspiracy to cover up the mass murder of convicts. I’m actually in South America and Roy, Cows etc etc are all actors trying to dupe me and all the other visitors into believing the story of multiple world governments, so why should the weather be any less of a lie?! It’s actually 12 degrees and p1ssing with rain... has been for months!

Pub down the road has said they’ll do $1 beers if the temp on their verandah goes over 45! Think we’re off there of lunch!

How do I get a job with you ? :)

Meanwhile, a private charity organisation is delivering 75000 litres of bottled water to a NSW town today, as the town has effectively run out of drinking water . . .
