Most seem to assume that more atmospheric CO2 is beneficial for growing crops. Not necessarily beneficial for nutrition it would seem.

Learn something every day!

US research recently showed that nutrition levels in rice ( obviously a major food crop ) will significantly lower with increased CO2. That funding was shut down & those reserschers recently sacked by the Trump administration, which doesn't allow any mention of climate change.
Big issues in the USDA at the moment . . .

Interesting stuff. This quite clearly shows the link between the current focus on livestock farming and companies out to make a profit from it. Especially given that the Impossible burger was unsurprisingly recently lambasted for being much worse environmentally than a actual burger equivalent.

In UK land you can throw AG under any bus you want because it affects so few people. That is it weakness politically.
That is not weakness ,that is intent. It has been the prefered policy in the States since Earl Butz was Nixon’s ag secretary( get big or get out) . Reduce the rural voice/ vote so you can control it better. The rest of the west has just followed the big boss’ example.

Brilliant that one, you selling any.Would sell well in the markets round melbourne, if others aren't doing the same thing. How much for one like that.
Have toyed with the idea.....but even using these ones as templates is still a lot of work since it's all hand cut.....most are quite large too. The lion measures 26 in tall and 20 wide. Think they'd have to be 250 to 350 a pop to make to worth while as I only get a few out of an 8x4 sheet.

Hey @Yale
I think it was you previously who expressed surprise at my elevation at 300 metres ? Did you say anything over 300m in the UK normally had fairly bad weather ?
Anyway, big cold front & strong winds are hitting SE Australia the last couple of days. They were forecasting snow down to 700 m. Normally snow is a lot higher than that here
