We are sowing wheat around the clock as we have good moisture and there is 50 mm forecast for Thursday.

Rainfall forecast here has fallen which is good for sowing.
It was 60mm at lunch time, and at 2 am when I got home it’s now 30 mm
That will only stop us for 5 days if we don’t get more.

that $942 is for cotton
Cotton is marketed in 250 kg bales of processed cotton, so thats what that price represents.
Because cotton is an export commodity, domestic issues rarely affect the price. It’s more about exchange rates & what happens in the US, China etc etc

the $900 is more than I’ve ever seen it.
Highest I’ve ever seen it before was maybe $700 ?
During the 3 / 5 years ( depending where you are ) of extreme heat & dry in the cotton growing areas here a couple of years ago, the price was still generally in the $600’s

We only ended up with 12 mm and should be able to get sowing again tomorrow.
It’s given me a chance to get some sheep work done. 350 ewes to drench and vaccinate tomorrow before they start lambing.
