Farmer, 75, was shot dead while sitting on his vintage tractor

The 75-year-old man was pronounced dead at the farm on Pinfold Lane in Scarisbrick after police were called shortly before 5pm yesterday.

I heard it on the wireless yesterday and wondered what must have gone on.
Must say I am very surprised the tractor he was sitting on was an ancient David Brown tool carrier. I spent a lot of time on them 40 odd years ago and seldom seen one since.
Sad news for all involved, RIP.
