Rain in the Midlands and eastern England, Some rain and drizzle in northwest Scotland as a warm front passes east. Drier elsewhere with a ridge of high pressure, so at last some brighter weather with sunny spells. Highs of 4 to 9C.39/48F

Sunday will be a rather cloudy day with light winds and a little rain or drizzle at times. It will be relatively mild, highs 5 to 14C/57F
