Farmers and Holidays

Some people do more on holidays than they do day to day ???
I know a New Zealand farmer who took notes out to Sardinia when he and his wife went to visit my mother, as it was the only time he had a clear enough head to write a letter to the government about his hill block.
Personally, it feels like I'm so disorganised here... that I probably do do more productive work on holiday:banghead:

Some farmers never talk to or interact with non farmers from one year to the next. IMO it's important to see how the other half live (and think) occasionally.

We try not to socialise with farmers.

None of our social group are farmers, one electrician and farm administrator,a buildings project manager and an ex biochemist,a tree surgeon and an environmental manager,a Safety inspector and a chemical engineer.

Get enough farming crap on here.

Problem is with us it’s last minute .com usually, decide midweek to get away for the weekend then frantically try to find accommodation.

We have a little gem of a place in the middle of Anglesey which is our usual go to.(y)
We get a lot of last minute bookings especially off peak. We don't tend to do short breaks in peak season as a weekend booking can sometimes cost us a week's (or two) booking .

When i had cows didnt get away for ten years. Now we go abroad twice most years and have a family holiday flat in bournemouth we go fairly often to, whats the point of building a business if you dont enjoy the rewards, perhaps some farmers are just too miserable to enjoy life
