Banks should have to pay consequential losses, ie when their overcharging tipped you into penalty interest rates .

Its been like a secret tax you didnt know you were paying.

On borrowed money when we were expanding the dairy herd.
Cows have long gone and still a million in debt so it helped clear a bit of it

I have dug out paperwork from 1984 on Grindlays Humberclyde, Massey Ferguson leasing and Forward Trust Group no mention of PPI anyone done likewise and who would you send it to?

Humber Clyde still trading. I phoned them, but was told no PPI, but they did tack on a Keyman policy. Which (he said ) was different.

I think I'm getting the run around from Lloyds. I gave them account numbers and dates for overdrafts etc. And they sent a huge form.
Filled that in as best I could, but obviously no insurance policy numbers because I didn't ask for one, didn't need one and, and....
Bank clerk helpfully said " I hope you've claimed on your overdraft here".

Anyone had any success?
Do you need the actual policy, when the provider has that information anyway?
I'm losing the will to live here, or is that the idea??

No we didn't with ours, we claimed that we had it on every possible policy and left it up to them to find out for us!

I claimed ppi of my 2 banks.i just sent them a letter stating that i had never ask for ppi and could thay check and see if i had paid any' after a few mounths thaye both paid me a large refund.then 18 month later one of them (rbs) sent a letter saying that thay were re looking into my claim. 3 months after that i received a letter saying thay had looked into it and said sorry but after re calucating it thay still owed me £6,ooo. ps sorry about my spelling but my spell checker has gone to feed the lambs

Do you just send letters off to all institutions you have borrowed from since whenever and ask them to check if you paid PPi ?
