I notice a lot of American farming is very old fashioned , nothing wrong with that but it is noticeable most of America i think is old fashioned, and dare I say it a lot looks run down .
When I do one on on farm irrigation here, I'll show the difference between old and new. Both have there good and bad points. But like I said. It shows the history of it all . Be good for my future generations to see whilst I can still show it. Otherwise it just gets lost as a memory of mine as they have never had to deal with the past. Case in point.....I've made all types of hay in my time... little square baling for dad at 11. Driving the 240 towing an old sunshine binder for my Pa. Round baling and now to big squares.... Even my kids wouldnt be able to comprehend how it used to be.

can anyone tell me how big ollys farm is? he seems to have a fair bit of new kit, is it the you tube channel thats paying for this or is it a good size? or is his dad a rich investor type
200 acres, a few sheep and some cattle.
I believe they (daddy) has income streams from outside ag. Someone told me they have a big chatue B and B in France but weather that's correct or not I don't know but there's certainly outside money being spent.

I watch some of his videos and he is a grade a plonker, which is typical of his generation. I know several lads just like him but at the end of the day if he's got the cash to pee away good luck to him. I have to make do as I haven't got the outside money coming in.

Never watched this Olly everyone is criticising. Don't think I would be a fan by the sound of things.

I'm a big fan of Olly agricontract. He's a similar age to me and has sort of changed my outlook on life!

I don't get the anger at this young Olly chap, I've only seen a couple of his videos and he obviously has a very privileged life but I just see a farmers son, who hasn't been told to go make his own way in the world because the farm isn't big enough for him to be busy.
Nothing unusual there, knew a lot like that when I still lived in England.
