Farmers earn more from YouTube than their crops

I like watching the millennial farmer, Welker, larsons and all that gang. Millennial is the big one now and I think he does it very well and informative, also going on tour of other farms and types of farms. Seems be be doing alright out of it machinery wise, seems like he gets to drill and work his land with some nice kit on 'hire'.

The concluding quote about the Fendt 1050 on a video posted yesterday:

‘’It’s a beautiful tractor but not meant to pull heavy loads like this’’

This is a good video to watch, especially the last 10 mins as it just shows that here in the UK we really can’t match what these kind of guys are doing at proper scale.

Was interested to hear his experiences between agco and JD backup/interaction, i think it maybe reflects what alot have said on here...

I find him a bit excruciating to watch...actually to listen too.

I think you'd have to be a bit nuts to live where he does and farm to that scale as well. You certainly cant be scared of risk.
Millennial farmer is great but he's getting that much new stuff given to him now that it's perhaps not a particularly good representation of how an American farm of that size operates.

I was enjoying chuckie 2009 before he had a bit of a meltdown. His welding videos were good, I learnt a few things that I didnt know and his start to farming was enjoyable for its comical efforts. (We all have to start somewhere). Unfortunately his religious racial views got the better of him.

I used to watch chuckie2009 but like a lot of youtubers you could tell a lot of his equipment was being given to him by advertisers when his views went up and his videos turned into an adverts

Did he start to fight with commenters?

I watch most of the ones mentioned on here, Welker are good as they do a lot of interesting repair and restoration work.
millennial farmer I still enjoy but there's obviously a lot of work and time goes into the videos he makes, I've no real issue with the free stuff he gets, he's always open about it and says if its a sponsored video. Mikes videos are a completely different as there's basically no editing, he seems to just record on his phone until its out of memory and stick it on YouTube, I agree he's a bit crazy at times but I like the fact that he just says what he wants.

I’ve stopped watching Millenial because its no longer real life due to all the stuff given him. I want to see proper real life farming. Good editing doesn’t bother me as long as the footage is clear visually and the sound is good.

I think mike’s great because he’s brutally honest with his review of the equipment. He’s no bias to any make and he never slags anything off. He just says it like it is.

Welker farms anyday, that and the amazing farm in the Missouri Breaks
Mike, whilst very up to date, seems a bit of an owner's son, with clearly a lot of money to throw at the job. I was lucky to work for an excellent farmer in north eastern Montana 20 years ago. He was using the same sized, excellent kit (somewhat smaller carts then, the cart being the killer in the hills and poorer conditions) and not having anything like these problems in very similar conditions. Difference between the 'drone's and youtube' crowd and the older school I guess. Seemed to be more about pride in the actual work then, rather than the melodrama.
