I spotted a JD 3800 in Nebraska once.

Same in Colorado

Honestly can't stand Olly, comes across as such a smug little tosser playing with daddys money.
His recent video he talks about buying a dung spreader because in his exact words " with who I am, with Ollys farm I'll get the work for it " .......😂😂
Also he has bought something else for the farm because he's " been working flat out the past few months, he deserves a treat ". He also deletes any comment that could be considered critical or negative towards him.
I actualy think the point i really turned against him was, in one of his videos where he was ranting about needing a handler (after selling his JCB for a loader tractor) His rant was all because the loader broke a grease nipple and he couldn't load things as quick as a handler, he called out Ripon Farm Services in the video, even though they came out and gave him a replacement loader but still hadn't removed the "broken" one from the farm. This, for our lad Olly was unacceptable to him, despite being in the midde a pandemic and Ripon probably had more urgent issues than removing a loader from a farm for a spoilt little twit.

Drewmister fae Tiktok (now Drews farming life) is one of my favourite channels, videos are always worth a watch.

Have to agree 100% with everything you've said. He makes my blood boil that lad

Yip me too. Spoilt little kid. His wee car got stuck in the snow and now hes looking for suggestions on a pickup or discovery. One of his videos he mentions buying a mower and a baler! All I've seen him feed is a pen of calves!
That video where is car got stuck I'm surprised no one called him out about the fact he left his house to go to the farm at 10 past 9 that morning, then filmed his dad feeding the sheep and went home early while his dad was left to feed the cows.
Now he's realised his wee hatchback isn't practical for the farm, from the 2 days of snow they've had and wants a £40K land rover
Like you said, he's only ever filmed himself feeding a pen of calves.
Apparently he's had great feedback from farmers in his emails for contracting work, so he's convinced he's going to get loads of work, despite the fact it took him atleast 2 days to cover two fields with an 18ton dung spreader when all the dung was tipped in the field. 😂

The more everyone watches his videos despite thinking they're pants and he's an idiot, the more view he'll get so the higher up the youtube algorithm he'll get so he'll do even more videos!
If he's that bad, don't watch it! Life's too short to watch rubbish youtube! :X3:

Currently enjoying Mike Mitchell, Larson Farms, Lord Muck and Brians Farming Videos.

Also did anyone think it's strange how the same company has been to both Welker and Millennial's farm recently to do pretty much the same thing and both made videos about it?

Many of these companies are catching on that it as good as advertising to do a bit of product placement. It is a very good idea from the point of view of me, a mere farmer. I get to see stuff that works or doesn't work in practical situations operated by peole who are like me doing the sort of things that I do or might like to do.

More power to the utubers, it is a lot of work for them. Tom Pemberton has had some kit that he might not have used otherwise for example.

Richard Cornock doesn't seem to get lent much to try.

The company changing out the metering systems on the drills for Welker and Millennial have pulled off a great marketing deal there. The youtubers, thanks to the YouTube analytics, know exactly what sort of person is watching their videos and can approach the suppliers to say I can put your product in front of 300,000 viewers, this percentage of whom are exactly who you are trying to sell to. For the cost of healthy discount on the product to the youtuber it's a far more productive way of marketing than an advert in say farmers weekly, where you don't necessarily know in as much detail how well the advert was received.

Sometimes it's a little cringey when you know it's clearly an advert but I think most of the time you can see through it. There is an interesting point on all of this though about product placement on TV vs social media, as explained here.
. Bit of a long watch but interesting.

I think Tom pemberton comes across really well and completely deserves any financial rewards he gets off YouTube, the funky farmer seems like a decent bloke, just a normal hardworking family farm. Nothing flash, just great cows and a true love of farming. I do struggle with Ollie a bit to be honest, he does come across spoilt and it feels like a kick in the teeth for me when I've started from scratch and everything I spend has to be properly justified and looked at in detail first.

Good illustration of not basing an opinion on several of utubers, several dairies in my area (east coast us) using telehandler on their farms. Cat,bobcat and manitou and merlos being the most popular

I find it so interesting to see the huge variety of types of farming across the US. We saw different farms even just within the corridor of the midwest harvest run. The guys down in Texas were doing things differently to Montana and the Dakotas, even though all growing wheat. I'd have loved to see the fruit farming in California, and the dairies of the Eastern area. Reading the USDA reports is a real eye opener just to see the reports of so many different types of crops

Watch a few farming you tubes, enjoy Millennial Farmer as different to UK especially the extreme cold weather. Also been following Andrew on It's a farming life although after 18 months becoming a bit repetitive as expected in a normal farming year, Milwaukee tools now making regular appearances ;)

Check out Junior Grassmen their videos are set to "young peoples music" made an appearance combining back in the summer (y)
