Farmers earn more from YouTube than their crops

I like mr Funky farmer, one of the first farmer youtubers I’m guessing. Nice down to earth knowledgable guy, getting a bit board of Tom Pemberton, far too much product placement going on.Every 5 minutes he’s trying to crowbar some company/ product in..getting very tedious with his game show host style.

I can't stand the fudging title screens on his videos, wide open mouth and ridiculous text. Drives me nuts.

ginger warrior makes me laugh every thing that comes along is fantastic why wasnt he cleaning the sh!t hole up 10 years ago?
I'd like to know the back story there, ginger guy seems to be a knowledgeable chap, house is nice, nice cars, couple of nice toys in the garage but till recently the farm is basically a dump.
Maybe he's a hoarder, maybe family had to be payed out, money issues, could be other reasons, who knows.
I wouldn't have dreamed of regularly filming my place if it looked like that!

I tend to watch American channels just because they have different stuff to us.

I think the whole farm tube thing will run its course though, farming is repetitive and its hard to get something new, I'm late to the YouTube thing and channels I watch are doing same stuff as last year again.. Unless they get you invested in their lives like a telly soap, then you'll tune in to see what's happening

My favorite YouTube channel is nothing to do with farming.
Look up Itchy Boots, she is a Dutch geologist who sold up and goes traveling the world on motorbike. First series she bought a bike in India and rode it back to Holland through some weird places. Second she did South America till Covid struck. Third Iceland and Scandinavia.
Forget the bike bit, it's not the tourist stuff either, emptier the better, the scenery is stunning, and the later ones with drone videos could put the BBC to shame, always cheery with a smile.
Far better than farming!!

I am with you on this.
The domestic farming ones are boring for me. Different countries are a bit more interesting but they too become stale soon enough.

But thank you for the heads up on “Itchy Boots” l like bikes and did my bit of travelling so this does hit my button and I didn’t know about her, so this is what I’ll be watching over the coming evenings.

I got told about Itchy Boots by someone, and I went back to the beginning of her YouTube in India and I'm working my way through season 5 in Africa just now.

They get better and better each season. I'm not a biker, (don't mind bikes) but I have seen so much interesting places on her channel that I'll never visit.

If I'd my time again that's what I'd do,some serious travelling

Agreed. She is pretty but doesn't really bring anything to the table (anymore).
There aren't many female farming youtubers I like. Acres of clay homestead is good and ag with emma is going the right way. Kate's ag is fun at times but a little over enthusiastic.
Sandi brock with sheepishly me is good but too på much sheep for me.

Hi all, I've started a Youtube channel documenting the trials and tribulations of hay and haylage production. If anyone is interested please take a look! If anyone watches them I'll hopefully carry on making them in which case you may see a cameo appearance from the dashing @Cab-over Pete and see what he really looks like!

or Instagram

Thank you!
