So the bitterly cold weather continues with the icy easterly wind continuing to blow, snow showers or longer spells of snow in places, these mostly but not exclusively affecting eastern England. Further west there are likely to be fewer of snow showers but some heavy ones about. Accumulations of snow will be building in the east. Drier in the far south of England, away from the southwest, here bands of snow showers are likely again some heavy, while western Scotland may stay dry.
