Thursday 7-3-19
Low pressure will be over or close to the UK over the next 7 days.
The day starts off with rain, cloud & strong winds through much of central and eastern Scotland (snow on hills), northern England, north Wales and the north Midlands. Rain more patchy in Northern Ireland, somewhat drier in the far south of England and Wales. The afternoon sees more rain in eastern and southern Scotland as well as northern England and Wales. A few showers in Northern Ireland. A windy afternoon for much of the UK and feeling cold in the wind. Highs of 10C/50F
Heads up for this weekend plus severe weather likely next week!
Weekend very windy with gales in places snow over high ground.
As we go in to next week we have a real headache around midweek very cold will follow a deep depression when winds are likely to reach 80 mph any rain is likely to turn to snow later especially on high ground above 600ft but not exclusively with all that wind severe drifting is likely, so if you are a hill farmer please take note. This is by no means set in stone but my advice is to keep up with the weather updates here or at my website @metjeffuk.com
Whatever your weather enjoy it!
