After a damp morning across much of northern Ireland rain or drizzle we spread from the west . Dry for most of England, Scotland and Wales, although there will be increasingly damp conditions arriving in the far southwest of Scotland, western Wales and parts of Cornwall. Drier elsewhere with some sunny spells, Western areas of the UK become increasingly damp and murky this afternoon as brighter and drier weather will follow Dry in eastern Scotland and eastern England with broken cloud and some sunny spells. Highs up to 18C/64F.

Cloud and showery outbreaks of rain, Most of the rain will be light, but the odd heavier bursts could occur, especially over hills. Drier and brighter to the west with a mix of sunshine and scattered showers in Ireland. Drier over western coasts and hills. Cool in the west at 14C/57f

Thursday to Sunday very cold arctic air will flood across the whole country with heavy wintry showers in the north, snow above 800ft day time temps 8-12C but overnight temps falling to -5C so widespread ground and air frosts farmers and growers take note.
