Saturday Night

Heavy rain this evening and over night as an area of low pressure moves east, as this moves north it is likely to fall as snow, manly across high ground of Wales, the Pennines and southern Uplands. With Gale force winds drifting is possible over high ground. Winds in the SW of England may reach 70 MPH temperature range from a of Low at 0C in central Scotland, to 10C in southern England.

Sunday

Low pressure clears into the North Sea early on Sunday morning, the winds will start to ease. To leave a very showery westerly flow to affect all parts of the UK. Western areas are likely to be seeing more showers and these could be heavy and prolonged falling as rain sleet hail or snow, The showers falling as snow over the hills of Scotland and northern England when drifting is possible. Breezy for all. Highs at 6C in northern Scotland, 11C in southern England.

Heads up for Severe Weather likely next week!

As we go in to next week we have a real headache around midweek very cold will follow a deep depression when winds are likely to reach 80 mph any rain is likely to turn to snow later especially on high ground above 600ft but not exclusively with all that wind severe drifting is likely, so if you are a hill farmer please take note. This is by no means set in stone but my advice is to keep up with the weather updates here or at the severe weather page Metjeffuk https://www.metjeffuk.com/severe-weather-centre.html

Whatever your weather enjoy it!

Ooh severe weather.
A puckle of heavy snow showers and wind.
We will see. And survive.
There is nothing like the small possibility of it actually being terrible to get some excited. Daily Mail?
