Farmers Weekly - Brexit sentiment

I see from the editorial today that, of their readership, 21% of FW readers think Brexit will be positive for their farming businesses, 26% are neutral to it, while 53% think it will be damaging.

Even more worryingly, Sean Rickard says a no deal Brexit will be ' the door to the decimation of UK farming' no less. I know he's outspoken, but this is pretty alarming.

Are the ( farming ) leavers on here still unrepentant?

The bigger they come.
The harder they fall.

Anything Sean Rickard says only means we all have more the reason to do exactly the opposite.

And since when does anyone care what the yellow peril says? It is and always has been the number one publication for anyone contemplating throwing themselves off Beachy head, you'd wonder why they don't include a short-stay parking ticket for the place stapled to the front with each issue.

No point bothering, it's out of our hands now. I simply listen and take amusement at how ridiculous we as a nation look to the rest of the planet.

One thing is for sure, we will find out pretty soon if farming is finished or not.

There are plenty of other jobs if it is, no need for worry.
You've got my sympathy, but don't worry, no matter how ridiculous Scotland looks or is made to be by NS, you'll still be a part of the UK and have our combined resources to see you through. :)

I'm not aware I have ever lead anyone to believe I am Scottish.

I must admit, I thought location meant, err, location :scratchhead:

And indeed it does, however on a UK forum when someone gives a UK location as a farmer, as opposed to something such as an IT worker, itinerancy isn't readily assumed. The presumption, then, is that unless there is some obvious evidence to the contrary, e.g. Location = Ardnamurchan but name = @TaffyJonesfromWales, the location tends to indicate origin. (y)

Do you know what UK tariffs will be ?

If not then I doubt you are in a position to forecast anything.

Can I approach the bench and ask if each member is allowed their own interpretation of “location “ and not have another forced upon us by a solitary member?
