Thanks for correcting me.Tim Green was the head herdsman at Reasheath (Cheshire Collage of Agriculture) when I was there in the seventies. The Tim Green who died in a tractor accident recently is a different one who farmed in Devon.

Think you may find it was a Burghley Estate rented farm.
Hopper for the fendt tool carrier by any chanceYes it was a rented farm from burghley and had an arable and pig unit. They didn't farm sacrewell lodge that was the Scott abutt trust but was across the a1 and farms along similar lines.
I was lucky to sell John lambkin a machine and he was an absolute gentleman to deal with and when they sold up in 2006 I went and bought it back for my own farm and still use it here today.
Later to become the Aston Clinton cotel.
Asclin cotel i think it was called they were only one part of five the others names Hammond, Blundel, Mogford, and i think Parsons all local farmers.Later to become the Aston Clinton cotel.
They were part of A1 farmers. Sacrewell is now a farm visitor centre. They also had Tim Vine? Farming over in a France too. Think he and his family took it onIIRC, Easton Lodge (Stamford/Peterborough area) farm manager was John Lambkin. I think it was the last one that that they had - kept it on long after they'd given all the others up.
Was there a pig unit called Sacrewell(?) run in conjunction with it?
I am sure farmers weekly had a small stock farm near Hay on Wye too, I think less than 100 acres
