Farmhand f12 mk2 Loader on 85 Ford 7610

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, I have recently purchased a little old ford 7610 with a farmhand f12 mk2 hydraukic loader, but although it seems to work fine, when I tried to lift a 1000l of water in a water bowser it didnt manage it. I thought it should lift at least a tonne, its plugged into the rear spool block, is it the tractor hydraukic pump, just getting too old or is the loader not specced to lift that weight? As I cant seem to find any info on the loader.

Now Then..
I would have thought your loader would be good for around a tonne. It depends how far forward from the loader the centre of your load was of course..
I'd try a pressure gauge in the rear spool connector to see what pressure you have. 2750 Psi at a guess..

OK will get a gauge and see, load was on a pallet with bale spikes used to lift it, so not at the pivot, but it wasn't completely full either, prob 900litres, cheers

ive got the same loader on a 1982 ford 6610 2 wheel drive, at a pinch it will unload 2, 600kg fertilizer bags, ps i have a concrete weight block perm mounted on 3 point linkage

As said, you need to stick a gauge on it to see what's going on.
Has it got the aux pump on the side of the engine ? could be pump on it's way out, could be priority valve.......

I think part of my problem is that it's a square water bowser so the weight is not close to the pivot point, but as I will need to do this over the summer to refill the bowsers I will check out the tractor hydraulics first, if that's OK then its either new loader or new loader tractor. ?

Cannot be added no gear on camshaft unless it has aux pump and most had them, as stated put gauge in spool and check pressure wants to be at least 2500psi can be adjusted if aux pump is there that's what it's for, lift arms only use main pump, can send details how to but you must have gauge or pump will split.

If you look at the shinny end of loader lift rams you will see there is a choice for the ram mounting pins.

Look at "Nearly's" picture he has the rams in the lower position for lifting more weight but less height.

Your rams are in the upper position for more height but less weight.
I couldn't get his pic to open on phone or I'd have seen that.....
