Perkins engine? and is that a Crawford plough? This was a well matched outfit forty years ago and was a pleasant place to be on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Hands up, if you know why its a little bit special. View attachment 231214 View attachment 231216
Fancy a Crawford plough are there many about? Are they ransome body's?You sir, probably don't get out enough as you are correct. 6354 Perkins retro fitted to a 82 series international, it has lots of power and will pull four furrows in top gear. The down side is, the exhaust pipe is only about four foot from your ear so after a while lip reading is an advantage. It is a Crawford plough and it works very well but not sure of its age. Yesterday was only my second day on it and it is a challenge to get the ins and outs just right.
She's on the button. You managed to start it ?
All Ransome's parts, and I would guess that Crawfords would still make any other parts. There are still a few around but can make good money.[/QUOTE
Yeah I bet, we have a BTD8 at work with turner linkage it's a nice thing but I prefer the caterpillars
How much? I know a cat man might be interested. All this cat talk anyone interested in a old d8 comes with blade ( off at the moment ) can also come with a simba tool carrier and twin leg mole plough. Recent track service starts on the button. New jd forces sale.
So roly. What's the verdict on the Raven. Or any one else using onemole draining in bottom gear, had the old girl on her back sprockets at 20" with 4" expander
and only doing 20 acres a leg+bullet+expander, bloody grounds hard but moister at the plug,
following up with the raven and hope to get a chit going to spray off any BGView attachment 56701 View attachment 56702 View attachment 56703 View attachment 56704 View attachment 56705
