Farming without bagged Fertiliser

I could well believe it, some proper research into the quality improvements are required also that's the most exciting but for me. We've seen a 13% increase in grass ME yield with foliar k (sandy soil so no soil k) and 32% protein yield increase with foliar N and K.
Yep, and you'd be throwing so much money at it with solids that it would be practically uneconomic?
Dairy context is much different ....eg our sweet spot was around 30kgN/ha/year but the trend at that time was to use 80-100kg anyway, basically we were seeing all the good results and less of the bad ones with about 10% of what the district were applying around us, and a lot more profit because of that reduction in direct (and indirect) N costs.

Quite new to the party but our agronomist has suggested trying a product that holds the N and releases it at the correct growth stage, can't for the life of me remember its name

Anybody else never wormed a cow? Do YS 2x in there first grazing season, the second dose being there to cover lung worm and that’s it, never seems to be an issue and I didn’t really think worming mature animals was a thing?
We do ys in first grazing season once at grass and then when they come in for the winter. Tried different things but it always ended in tears. Touch wood everything else is fine.

We have stopped worming cows but still fluke them at dry off in winter . Suppose it may be worth testing dung for fluke if possible.
calves wormed in first year lightly and tested in second year . We’re moving them more so on more regular fresh grass .
Certainly worth thinking about

Picking up on you’re wormers comment how do you get round this? Currently use ivomec super at dry off cheers
We give our 6 months old calves a wormer injection for gut and lungworms that’s lasts 6 months. Then at turnout following year they get huskvac, and that’s it, no more wormers for the rest of their life

Our vet told us in a very dry year like this there is more lungworm about in cows, so they will get eprinex at housing this year.
