Sometimes old wills can give you an idea of the size of the house, and the farm, and a lot are available on line. This was from a woman who lived in a small house up the road - there is not a trace of it now.

If you read enough of them you get used to the writing. This is a translation done though screwed up eyes!

First I give and bequeath to my nephew John Jones my feather bed and my Bible for my funeral expenses. Also I give and bequeath to my Niece Sarah Lancwrci my best blanket and quilt, the oak trunk and my work(?) cloak. Also I give and bequeath to my sister Hannah my Hymn book and to her son Daniel after her decease. Also I give and bequeath to my kin Sarah that comes here to often to attend me a small gown and a petticoat not very good ones.

This shows that it was a poor place then - 1855

next year,have you ever been up the lighthouse?,my favourite spot is back up the hill there is a nt car park next just past a single story flat roofed building ,i think its a look out building,you walk up the hill and on top of the hill there is a small concrete formed little building/shepards look out,i will dig out a picture
