Farmplan can't export to Excel

I'm trying to export a Farmplan Cash Manager Plus report to Excel. It throws the following errors:
farmplan error multi.PNG

farmplan error single.PNG

The first one comes up loads of times (presumably one for every row I'm trying to export); the second comes up once at the end (presumably when Farmplan tries to open the file in Excel). CSV exports work OK, unless Farmplan tries to open the CSV after creation; in that case, I get the last error message.

Farmplan support have tried our data out on their computer, and exporting to Excel works fine. At that point, they suggested it was a problem at our end. I'm inclined to agree, although only Farmplan is having the issue.

Needless to say it was working fine a month or so ago.

Has anyone had this issue before? Is there a resolution?

Can be anything when it comes to MS and Office. I don't know how Farmplan handle Office but it might be worth trying to do a recovery install on Office. Install Office again and it should ask to do a recovery install (not 100% sure on this - been a while.) Either that or Google it (recovery install). Latter versions of Office didn't automatically install the OLE elements that Farmplan might be using. They (MS) also have a habit of changing file/registry locations and a recovery install corrects it. Obviously Farmplan would appreciate the error logs detailed in those error messages to review the issue? Never easy as client machines can be configured differently. If Farmplan exports files in Excel, or CSV format then it's working of sorts. Having Farmplan run Excel and load the file is secondary really.

OLE might also be an issue if dealing with online Excel verses a local install. First call would be a recovery/repair install of Office/Excel. Also if the file created is xls and not xlsx OLE will have problems due to the security settings in Excel and your Excel configuration needs to allow better access to older xls files if indeed Farmplan is working them those older file types. I don't work directly with Excel files but have the same issues dealing with Word files, so assume Excel will have the same silly setting changes with recent version updates.
