Things that would improve farm safety ?

This industry has a tragic safety record, what can we all do that may improve this ? lets use this thread for suggestions ? some maybe unpopular with others (I know mine will be !) but surely we can’t continue watching so many loose their life’s trying to produce a bit of food my top 3...

I've just been reading the latest Farmers Weekly Magazine and saw the article 'Farm accidents claim four lives in three weeks' which I found quite shocking. I there a way to make farming safer? Or do you just accept the risks? I'd be interested in peoples thoughts....

Any chance of a link to previous weeks' meetings? I'm not on Twitter, but can presumably see it afterwards? Any reason you're using such a medium when so many aren't on it?

Hi @Highland Mule thanks for the interest, we will be putting together a newsletter each month to share the information shared so we'd be more than happy to add you to this. We set it up on Twitter as we weren't too sure which medium to use to be honest so very open to any suggestions you have so we can reach a wider reach of the farming community. Thanks, Lizzie

Hi @Clive, thank you and yes please! We are planning on doing a live Q&A each month so that would be great if you could join - we may look at another platform as know Clubhouse is limited to iOS at the moment. We'll be in touch! Lizzie

Hi @Highland Mule I (Lizzie) am a qualified Health & Safety Advisor but it is just myself and my colleague no commercial interest or gain. I just want to stop people not coming home to their families or suffering a life changing injury that then means they can't live their life to the fullest. #FarmSafetyHour was just an idea I had to give those in the farming community a dedicated hour each week to focus and discuss safety.
