Hi all, haven't had this long and all other tractors have Topcon/trimble.

Struggling with the wandering when following a line, any help with the Autotrac Advanced Settings please?

TIA

The 4ws will be what's doing it I had bother the first couple of days with mine till I locked it off while autosteer is on

I can't remember how I did it but it turns off automatically I know the dial has to be in the user setting not the 4ws but I can't remember what else I did to it .

I'll have a look in a while.

Another thought have you got the fast steer switched off ?
That's a total pain in the arse how it comes on with the gps and you have to turn it off with a headland management sequence!!!!

Where do I find the fast steer? Sorry new tractor to me I haven't driven one before. The manual is pretty basic that's in the tractor.

Setting atm are
Tracking - 100
Heading - 100
Lead - 105
Response - 100
Acquire - 70
Curve - 50

Steer - 65

Steering should maybe be a bit higher

How fast are you going ?

Faster wants lower figures

Slower wants higher

When you turn on gps the fast steer comes on it's the button above it'll be on constant red light it needs to be flashing to be off the only way to turn it off is through making a headland management sequence on the white button.

The rear axle wants locked off during autosteer which will also help as if it's on plus fast steer it'll want to wander all over the place especially turning in onto the line.

@Andrew any help getting the rear steering off ?

From the home screen:
Press the ‘Second page’ icon (bottom left)
Press the ‘Switches’ (Second down on right)
Press ‘4WS 2’ (4th down on left)
You’ll see a satellite, you want a tick next to it. If no tick, press the satellite, then change with plus and minus then press save.

Always run the 4ws in ‘user’ mode not 4ws.
I always find delay the best. To do this:
Press ‘Second page’
Press ‘4ws user’ (4th down on left)
Press ‘Delay’ (2nd down on left). You can alter the percentage as well. I run at 30%.
Basically it’s 2ws then until the fronts turn to 30%, then 4ws kicks in.

Thanks that's pretty much exactly how I run mine but with quick steer off

Thank you both. Have tried 2WS in a run today and it's worked better. 7.5kph speed.

It looks like our JD greenstar screen isn't link to the Jcb one as the satellite is grayed out. Also the GPS and fast steer aren't lit on this tractor. The autosteer is on a toggle switch by joystick. Must be a retro fit or something.

Have programmed the 2WS and 4WS to the joystick so can toggle them both on user mode.

Thank you again for your help.

That's how mine is .

Mine is a solsteer kit to run it and I have to turn it on with the GPS switch up the pillar

You've got me intrigued now !!

Is it an electric steering wheel or wired into the tractor?
That I cannot tell you. I think its just a standard Jcb wheel. I have the GPS buttons on the pillar but they are greyed out. Greenstar dome on roof and JD guidence screen. The toggle switch for engaging autosteer etc is definitely aftermarket addtion
