How many do you have now?
Only the 2 42s and the big one.
How many do you have now?
Ran 3 fastracs and 2 loadalls at my last place. All fine. Only problems were because of a couple of operators not the machineAre they?
So far, just one person thats spoken to someone else have said they've had problems.
Anyone that actually runs one want to comment on reliability?
Don’t think them lads are doing that job anymore if the rumours are trueAnimals
Yeah going by the drivers abilities thread should be some good ones aboutCan we all have a job with you!!!!???
I pass a few running tankers most nights when going to girlfriends house driving like their on racetracks! You know the route they take as you can just follow the rubber on the road
+1 owning from new is the key!My jcb loadall has been ultra reliable
Our dealer told us that the rear tyres can be max dual 710's and front max is dual 650's. It should float with them.I’m sure I read somewhere they can be dualled but don’t quote me on it.
Front diffs and a few other bits have all been done on recalls too, service and reliability (hour for hour) is well above the green machines we run. Not perfect but nothing is.
As we’re doing more landwork with one of ours bow we’ve just got a setnof 710s to swap when we need too.
I heard at Lamma that a AD plant in east somewhere has swapped several 4220 s for Unimogs due to problems and they are making big savings on fuel however I guess the purchase price for Unimog would be higher to start with.

That's a bit unfair. True I wouldn't buy a modern jcb digger, older ones were not too bad. Forklift's seem to do a job but hubs and diffs failing are hopeless.. We ran a 2140 to 8000 hours, original engine, clutch, gearbox, hydraulics, axles and even propshafts.. Hardly had anything spent on it but at the time people said don't buy that, won't be reliable.. At least the fastrac won't cost a fortune in brake repairs and it is far more modular in it's build so much easier to replace things like rear diffs.. I've done a fendt rear diff and it is a massive job costing mega money.. plus it spreads metal right through the gearbox. So far the old Fendt's have been expensive to run and very hard to work on.. and these are supposed to be the best of them.I am glad someone finally got to the point: they are unreliable as sin and basically always have been. Not convinced the handlers are much better. JCB trade on their name.
