Fattening cull cows on left over haylage??

With a lot of haylage left over and difficult to sell. Is it worth buying in some poorer cull cows to put in empty sheds? Will they fatten on this alone and is it likely to be profitable? Thanks

Would've thought suckler cows would fatten ok on decent haylage, so long as they're otherwise healthy and not so ancient to have mouths that are shot.
Wouldn't want to try it with dairy cows.
