To replace some 460/85r38 tyres, what size/maximum width would go on these rims and have the same rolling radius?(tractor is used for cambridge rolling) Thanks

Nor Vredestein.

They all seem to be spec'ing 18 or 20" rims for 600/65R38

I'm sure Michelin used to allow 600 on a 15" rim back in the days of the xm108 - I guess they thaught no one would buy low profile tyres if they had to buy wider rims aswell.

Bet ya would be shocked but a while ago i bought a tractor with 650/65-38 on 15" width rims.... yes you did hear me right....
Local Tyre Lad was well shocked when i finally removed them. The same tyres are on 20" rims now & just look so right.
i presume 20" would take a 710 tyre no bother?
Factory Rims on my 6480 are 18" i think & there 600/65-38

Got 520/70/38 dualled , the biggest influence to wheel marks where the fronts so put some wides on front , put the 800/ off old fert spreader as they matched backs ,looks odd but does the job

I used to have a 956 with terra tyres all round for rolling, she has gone and so have the 6.2m rolls. Now have a Maxxum 120 4pot and 12.2m rolls on 24m tramlines. Terra's for sale, open to offers
520 is as wide as I can go then with the same rolling radius as 460s?
Could do with a set of back wheels and tyres, maybe 600's.
Does anyone know the best place to buy second hand wheels from?

We used to have a tractor on 600’s and 16’’ rims and they looked awful- the tyre was clearly pinched in at the beads. Never had any problem with them though.
