FE35 cav injector pump - fuel line

Hi all,

I have just being fitting a new gasket to the top half of my cav injector pump, was struggling to get the spring back in and knock the left fuel line and it came loose, I noticed that there isn't any threads to screw it back into, any ideas how to fix or have I totally broken it ? on s positive note I got the spring back in and gasket done many thanks in advance !!

You have sheared the fitting off. The broken bit will most likely come out with an easy out or the tang of a file. You will get a new one from a diesel repair shop

Use a stud remover to screw it out then insert a new fitting.[/QUOTE]
hi thanks for reply, I've had a closer look and the big hexagon fitting at the end of the fuel line doesn't have any threads on the lower side only the top where the copper pipe and nut are inserted (the copper pipe has an end that fits over that little black fitment in cav housing, therefore would that large hex fitting be what s snapped off the cav injector ? as the copper pipe end looks fine (hidden under that hex connector) and fits over that black hole in cav pump snuggly, only won't stay there as the hex connector has nothing to screw into to tighten it up. hope that makes sense lol
