Feeding pigs

They do love potatoes, see if your local greengrocer wants rid of any waste veg.

If you've a local bakery you could see about getting bread waste from them but you must not use any food waste that has been near meat or even on the same premises as meat.

They eat silage , I didn’t think they would .
Not great quantities of it, but she's using a forage based system, with grass and cover crops, so now they're in because its too wet, they get silage. They like it, and it means they have something to pick at always, but just small amounts.
If you're pushing for fast finishing, probably best to leave it out, but that's not her system.

Mine will be outside come better weather , I’d like them to have a diverse diet not just cereals.
