Fella rake

Got a fella single rotor rake and a couple of the tine arm holders have some play in them, so thought I'd look at putting new bushes in, had hoped that after taking the 2 bolts out, the holder would pull out but no such luck, anyone know how it's done or is it a full strip down job? Thanks

I know how it's done, crown wheel bolts snapped on mine, unfortunately it is a full strip down job. Unbolt the casting, undo the drive in. Unscrew the wheels so it's just the head, then undo the bolts. Simple enough job. Just bit of a ball ache.
Assuming it's a dn541 or similar.

Undo the tine holder bolts half way around each side of the one you want out, and with a pry bar and slight pressure you’ll get them out !. You don’t have to take all the bolts out or the nuts completely off, but you may need the bolts out of the one either side of the one you want out.
You’ll also need a good press to get the roller off the shaft end to fit the new bushes, and then press the roller back on !. There’s 2 types of bushes early ones are brass and later ones plastic, they are NOT interchangeable either.
All in all it’s a right ball ache of a job but easy enough to do !
Have fun !.

I tried that with mine but unlike vicon ones, I couldn’t get them to pop out of the track. May have been doing some thing wrong mind.

It's a ts 455 so quite old, I was hoping that they could be taken off without stripping the whole lot down, I did take the bolts out and put some pressure to try and pop them out of the track but it wasn't for moving and didn't want to put too much pressure on it without knowing that they will actually come out that way, would you know if they have to be at a certain point in the cam track to come out?
May just keep it well greased for now and tackle it on the next wet spell. Thanks for your responses

Same model as mine then !, I can assure you if you slacken enough off they will come out !. I’ve changed the bushes in a couple of others, and had to change a couple of castings in mine when some moron wrapped it round a gatepost.
They’ll come out in pretty much any spot, getting them back in is the trick.
