Fella TH 520

The red pigment has completely been bleached by the sun. After harvest it’ll get blasted and re painted. Take a day to sort out. It’s a shame agco bought them and they’re no longer. I have a ts425 rake. Not used it yet. Just rebuilt it now runs Sweet as a nut. I have an old krone mowco and vicon 2.4. Would quite like a fella mower. Great bed design.
The mowers great straight off the shaft no belts can mow standing crops at 20k+ if I want
And there’s shear plates on each disk to protect the bed

Does it have the individual bolt in hubs run on a shaft in the back of the bed? I watch a fella promotional video the other day and thought how good it is to just swap out 1 disc section if damaged. Saves taking all the gears out to repair 1 hub. Just good engineering. Any pics of your mower?

I’m not to sure on that one I’ve not yet damaged it enough to need to try that only one photo but it’s in the dark it’s in back of shed at the moment but I’ll take plenty photos when it’s next on my tractor

I’ll be keeping my eye out for one in the future. Wouldn’t mind an out front one. Easier on the tractor.

I've found replacement Kramp ones often snap, even if I nip the ends off.

My Kramp account isnt active. I find them variable on price so much. I have a granit account. Just ordered loads of tines and an arm. Surprisingly the arms all bar 1 are in good shape. We will see though I’m sure.

Shaft, some random bevel gear I machined to fit and bearings done. All that’s left is to add on 6 spline shaft to couple it to the pto. And a few tines.

Update, she is alive. Not bad for making every thing from scratch. Shaft, gear, never machined a gear before, they are bloody hard. She runs lovely. The proof is in the pudding. Will it all hold up to testing for several hours. We shall see later this week.
