Felling licence maps

What sort of maps are suitable for a felling licence application and where do i get them from as i can't seem to access them through the forestry commision website ! Thanks in advance !

In the guide for filling the application you send a grid reference to the address of your local office and they will send 1.2500 maps for you free of charge.
How long has it taken people on here to get felling licences for forestry,just sent one in,have heard it can take 12 months to get one.

Thanks for the help got an os map sorted ! I only need one to take 4 trees down in a small wood which is less than half an acre ! Have spoken to the local forestry commission bod this morning and she was really helpful ! Shouldn't take too long hopefully !

Why do you need a felling licence for only 4 trees that would come under your annual exemption especially if you get the timing right. All you really need to find out is whether there protected by TPO's

I was told last year that i need a licence for them, 4 big old hardwoods and various smaller ones as well in the future , no tpo on them just making sure with a licence, there free so might as well do it properly
