I don’t think it would be a problem to be honest it’s not that bad of an area.It must be a rough pub if the kids are carrying something that will cut the wire !

I think he was looking for cheap fencingDeer fencing sounds like your best bet!
Nothing's cheap anymore!!I think he was looking for cheap fencing
well I would say two 100 acre blocks is still big!As much as I’d really like too fence the footpath it isn’t really an option as it runs through the middle of a 200ac block
Gorse!!!Blackthorn, hawthorn, holly etc in conjunction with your fence should do the job.
well I would say two 100 acre blocks is still big!
There’s 17 fields in that block, most separated by a footpathHe didn’t say a 200ac field!
I think I would fence round the pub garden with creosoted rails and then after it is up, add a second coat of a mix of creosote and old engine oilAnd use fence posts with that black imitation creosote that gets everywhere when you are using them
Shoot a few and hang them up
Oh no, wait, that's pigeons...
hence the creosote and used engine oil mix, I know from using it on stuff here, that it takes a very long time to dry!You would be surprised how determined people can be. Even a barbed wire fence could become damaged with stretched wire and all sorts. Or they will find a way around it and cause damage elsewhere. Even seemingly reasonable people can be like this, they walk over from the footpath, find the new fence and don’t want to walk back, so find a way to get over..... just this once.
Bit of an update, spoke to the estates land agent about an unrelated subject earlier and she brought up that the pub had complained above water run off from our field running through there beer garden and car park.
Now it sounds like the estate are going to pay (probably me) to do some drainage work to try and sort the run off.
Now I’m thinking ditch deep enough to hold water (like a moat) then a fencing on the top to stop it been jumped across and best yet it sounds like the estate and the pub will be paying the costs .
I’ll keep the thread posted of any updates
