Fencing grants

Lots of fencing to do. Are there currently grants available? I can’t seem to find any for fencing field boundaries. In our case stone faced earth banks. Chap I spoke to reckoned there is, but searched through the stewardship options and can’t see it. Someone on here must know

Yes, fg2 I think is the fencing grant. Includes hedges. There's options for barbed wire, stock netting and electric fencing depending on your stock and preference!

Yeah that’s what I thought but when I look on the rpa website seems like it’s only applicable now if you want to fence off a water feature or woodland. I’m wondering if they’ve tightened it up

No still applicable, irs never specifically mentioned hedges but they count as an environmental feature

Just went through all the options again. Honestly can’t see it anywhere. Do you have a link?

Studied it up. I’ve not signed up for the sfi pilot so nothing showing there. Looks like it might have an option again some point next month. Under the country side stewardship the option is applicable for me. Good they’ve accepted metal strainers though
