Is the top figure in the display definitely radar controlled or gps, as I have tried recalibrating it numerous times and the distance always measures 107m when it should be 100m , over a pre measured distance of 100m. The sprayer I’m using is iso bus controlled and is over applying by 10%.

Is the tyre size the right one in the tractor settings ?

I tried changing the rolling circumference and yes it changes the speed of the gearbox reading. When I calibrated the radar it seems to reset this figure as I suppose it recalculates what it should be. I thought I could make it read the correct speed by altering the calibration constants but it does not seem to be as simple as that, which makes me think it could be GPS related.

In the 700 series it defaults to radar. I used to have issues with speed accuracy in tall crops so I had the radar turned off then obviously it uses the gps signal. I ordered the replacement tractor with no radar.

Our 720 SCR did not have any radar, obviously the top figure was not from the radar but GPS (GNSS). Now I cannot find the GPS speed at all from GEN6, it only shows wheel slip (which perhaps is more useful).

i’m not sure. my spreader is just on the isobus plug, it’s forward speed reading is generally the tractor speed adjusted for wheel slip, so my conclusion was it’s using the gps speed. I get similar from the drill and sprayer both of which are isobus but use their own speed sensor.

i have in the past suggested to my dealer that it would be useful to select which speed speed sensor you are using on the dash. And maybe select a speed source for different machines

Do you know where the ISO plug in roof takes speed readings from?

I was struggling to get fertiliser spreader box and tractor
There is a wire for wheel or radar in the plug so Depends how your impliment is wired tells you in the book somewhere which pin does what. That's assuming the gen 6 is the same as older ones.

Are you definitely getting the 100 meter calibrated and saved been a while since I done one but took me a while to get the sequence correct so it saved it can't remember if I thought the instructions in the book weren't quite right so It saved the new 100 meter and didn't just revert back to old settings.

Spoke to dealer and the problem was I wasn’t using the clutch to stop. Did try this and it’s worked. So the speed over 100m is correct but it still measures 107m on the area meter, which I presume is using the gearbox. Interestingly I put in the correct circumference for the wheels and when I calibrate the radar it seems to change the circumference figure I put in, I suppose it recalculates it. Would be nice to get everything bang on but seem to be struggling at the moment.
Have taken the fuse out for the radar so think it is now using the gps but haven’t had the sprayer on to check. Who would think it would be so difficult to get the speed right.

Theres a sequence to get it to save correct wheel size or it just reverts back to previous setting i remember having issues getting it saved.Took me a while to get mine correct over 100m as running large rowcrops and can't get the correct wheel circumference in as it doesn't let you go past a certain size. Can't remember if I had to drive past 100m or stop before but took a few attempts. That was on tractor using radar. Other tractor uses gps as doesn't have radar fitted never tried calibration on it.
