Dunno about fendt but when JD went to the R series they lost the ability to learn the hms to do what you were doing as you did it manually on my 2016 one you have to enter it step by step then tweak the distance/timings of it . So a big backward step on that front in my opinion
The newer R’s got the learn feature back

I just like my normal autopower too much

I can do everything I want with 1 hand with no need for a joystick. I've driven this setup for a long time now and there's nothing any better
The reality is we all like what we are used to. When we had a 6250r on demo the dealer demo man was so pleased to be coming to a Fendt farm because we would use the joystick "like it's meant to be used". I'm not sure that is actually so, we programmed it to copy the Fendt joystick and were all happy to drive a JD for once. Still bought an 828 in the end.

Right then tin hat well and truly on .

It's a good tractor but I just can't see what the hype is about. I could get used to it no bother but don't think I really want to to be honest.

Good points it's compact for it's power. It has a very good turning circle a good 2m less than my 6155 which has it's stop absolutely maxed out to the point of catching the bonnet at times . It's got good vision and is pretty quiet but a little whiny on the road nothing serious tho . Very good window wiper I've never seen another tractor clear as much window . Decent suspension but no better than an R JD

I'm not keen on the cab it's a bit small feeling compared to the JD no wonder fendt men like isobus as another control box or screen of any size wouldn't be good in there and a lack of any storage . The joystick I could take it leave it it's no better or worse than driving a JD I'm surprised that you can only pre set 2 cruise speeds and have to change them through the screen in all honestly NH has a better one . The spool couplers haven't got any way of taking the pressure off like I'm used to . It's very light on the front end it had a 1500kg weight on and was light enough with my trio on my 6155 can manage (just) with an empty stone fork but is fine with 500kg but better with 900kg on it .

All in all I didn't think no chance but also didn't think hell yeah I really want one.

It'll be a good outfit once used to it .

I parked them side by side the fendt might be a couple of inches longer if anything but nothing in it really.
JD is on 600 front tyres compared to 540 on the fendt I could get more on the level with the JD but as soon as the axle is at max travel the shape of the bonnet makes it very easy to catch it

That is surprising I would have had the fendt down as being shorter than the deere
I know going from a MF 7618 to a 724 we need to run more front weights on the fendt

I didn't have them lined up exactly but by eye across the rear tyres the front on the fendt were definitely slightly in front of the JD
The older JD's were light on the nose I can do 3t of fert with 500kg on the R but if I try it with the 69 I need to reverse out the farm roadend

Avid Deere R driver here and I felt the cab to be more spacious on the 720 I tried, also was surprised that I didn’t need a weight with my 5 meter power Harrow on,granted I wasn’t driving on the road to and from fields, everything’s just down to personal opinion at the end of the day 👍🏻

I'm no fan of an R cab I prefer my 30's but I felt quite close in with the fendt I think it's a bigger dash than the JD and you sit a long way back in between the mudgards closer to the back window when my boss was in with me neither of us are small he definitely seemed closer to me than normal . It's definitely narrower to the windows than an R is . That light colour would get dirty pretty quick as well especially that bit just in the door under the passenger seat
