Got a tractor for a demo it was dropped off when I was busy so haven't been shown what to do my fault not the dealer before anyone says anything.

Is there an easier way to change the cruise speeds other than going through the screen??

no is the short answer, i believe the new cab layout has a roller on the joystick

Never driven a auto command nh. Maybe one day maybe not.

I don’t change the cruise speeds enough to be looking for it on the joystick but one job it would be handy is digging spuds but never done that with my Fendt.

there is 2 buttons on the joystick which activate 1 of 2 presets but the presets have to be done in screen

That would be only time I use it on the move.

only baled 11 square bales with Fendt so far. 1000 acres to do as soon as it’s cured properly though. All other baling was 18 years ago before cvt.

crops quite variable here so not sure I’ll be using cruise for baling anyhow

give it time. Not everyone likes them but I’m putting 1500 hrs plus per year on my 927 and have done plenty in jd 7000,7r and 8r cvt tractors and I cannot wait to be back in mine.

My dealer told me recently that he can now only get the new cab layout

@KB6930 you can also set the memo speeds which will send the tractor to a particular speed if you change direction. About the only time I use it is ploughing.

Sure you won't have many lumps in Australia. But CVT transmission great for baling. If you come to a lump just pull back the stick. Can fine tune speed as mentioned.

JD dealer pointed out when we bought our auto power. If you tweak speed by 0.2mph. In ten hours you'll bale another 2 miles of straw. I know that's not entirely true when you take into account turning etc.

most baling will be oats for export hay. Shouldn’t be many lumps but headlands can be bit lumpy with rake ins and outs. Cvt will be a dream on baler rather than the 8000 jd I’m used to.

what didn’t you like about it. It’s jd’s only option that would make me consider one but not seen one yet.
