Has anyine ever chipped a Fendt 724 ? if so what kind of power did it make ?

It the 724 engine used in any higher HP applications (other models) ?

I wouldn't bet my life on it but I am pretty certain that the 800 series share the same engine as the 700 models. In that case 280 hp would be no problem… but on the other hand a 724 got ML 180 transmission and the 828 got the ML 220 transmission.

I have read of a 724 remapped to 280 hp. It was mostly doing work on a JF 1460, and it seemed to work ok. Didn't get much information though...

I'd be wary of chipping or remapping the biggest in that range as there will be little room for extra power & torque. If you're leasing you'd be jeopardising the warranty which would breach the terms so I'd talk to the hirer about doing that first. I'd look at an 800 series instead, personally. The 828s haven't been noted for their reliability - top end outputs from both engine & transmission.

240 horse power is surely as much as the 724 can put to the ground anyway, they aren't particularly huge machines are they? The 800 series physically larger and a jot heavier, too so has more chance to put it where it is needed.

I would not chip or remap a Fendt purely because the potential of the transmission wilting would worry me.

Aww gawd now not only have we had a multi page thread about a Fendt for sale the potential buyer now has to worry if said tractor has spent all its time on its knees cos it ain’t big enough for the work it was doing:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

PS make my popcorn a big bucket(y)

724 has been OTT on our drill really - a 720 would have done the job fine I think but 724 resale values are better !

Can I hijack your thread slightly - can a 718 or 720 be safely mapped up to the same as a 724? The weights are identical for these tractors, is it safe to assume a 718 engine and transmission can handle a map up to 240hp?

Speak to Jason at Steinbauer 07515851696
He will tell you, module would be better than a remap if in warranty.
The jcb 4220, don’t think Steinbauer can keep up with demand. Same trans?

What difference between a remap or module added, if its under warranty surely a dealers laptop will divulge everything in a minute??

Dealers must love these things, as soon as its done they can wash their hands of any warranty claims??

Is the engine in the 724 exactly the same as in the 828, you would think the cooling package would need to be uprated?

Also there is a limitation in the transmission so only benefit of chipping a 724 is for pto work if transmission limitation is not removed

These are what the dealers fit so the manufacturers do not know, if it all blows the pistons back to Germany you sit and check nothing has impaled or wounded you then lift the bonnet and unplug the tuner out of the engine ecu wiring circuit and ring the dealer moaning about nothing lasts like it used too and demand a replacement sharpish.
